2016
Import: DO Ribera del Duero, Spain
The winery wanted to redefine this wine, which was previously one of the few short-aged reds in the area. To do this, new winemaking techniques were incorporated from the 2014 vintage. 3 months in European and American oak barrels.
Aged in French and Eastern European oak for 18 months.
100% malolactic fermentation
88 Points – Beverage Testing Institute, February 2017
Made from grapes harvested in world-class appellations, Black Box award-winning wines hail from California’s famed wine country and the acclaimed vineyards of Argentina and Chile.
Through a meticulous, traditional winemaking process, each wine is crafted to be food-friendly and fruit-forward-without the expense and fuss of bottled wines.
This delightful Malbec features luscious violet and blackberry aromas, with juicy plum flavors and hints of leather and chocolate. It pairs well with beef tenderloin and blue cheese.
Tamarack Merlot exibits everything WA state Merlot is supposed to be. A serious wine with great balance this is not your typical merlot from other parts of the new world.
